I can't figure out how to copy pictures from the web onto here. If I could I would have copied a picture of a tomb with a round door rolled away from the entrance.
Low in the grave He lay—
Jesus my Savior!
Waiting the coming day—
Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Vainly they watch His bed—
Jesus, my Savior!
Vainly they seal the dead—
Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Death cannot keep his prey—
Jesus, my Savior!
He tore the bars away—
Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o'er His foes
He arose a Victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Wishing you a blessed Easter.

This is one of my all time favorite hymns. We sang it every Easter of my childhood, at Aunt Mary's. It was always sung in beautiful harmony and is still so powerfully sweet. Thanks for sharing! (and the verbal 'picture' you inserted at the beginning laid a nice background visual ;)
