I hope you can bear with me. I hope to not only use this as a way to let you in on our lives but also as a way for me to "journal" our day to day life for my own memory's sake.
This is the Lego house Sam and Mom made yesterday while Leah was at school and everyone else was sleeping. Lego is a favorite around here, especially with Sam.

This afternoon Mom needed a nap so Leah and Sam played on the computer instead. The house is sitting on the shelf waiting for an other good Lego moment.
This morning we were welcomed (with 2 other new babies) at the Ladies Bible Study at church for a baby shower for Cara and Cody. Not quite understanding the shower concept, Leah asked if she could please come see the babies' shower! So, what am I to tell her? Showers of this type are for a raining down of gifts? We are so spoiled. We received two matching pewter picture frames.
Thankfully Wieska stopped by to help us get out of the door. It is quite the project to get everyone out of the house by myself. I have done it a time or two but usually find myself with less energy than required for this undertaking. Even more work than getting everyone out of the door is getting them all back in, especially at lunch time. Thankfully, Wieska came back and helped make some jam and cheeze whiz breads.

While I was preparing supper this afternoon Leah and Sam played an old game with a new twist. "Mom and Dad" is a popular game here but today they played with real babies! I was trying to figure out why they kept switching places from the kitchen table (where Cara was) to the living room couch (where Cody WAS laying). Apparently, they were each looking after a baby but everytime Cody would cry Sam would call Leah to come take over, lay Cody back down on the couch and take his turn talking to Cara until Leah had quieted Cody again. What a bunch of goofs!
This evening Opa and Nana came for supper. Opa had Cara giggling quite nicely. It is the first time we heard her giggle like that. Pretty special. We also had some yummy icecream bars from Nana that Cam enjoyed quite immensely. I know it doesn't look like it but it takes a lot of talent and concentration to hold an icecream bar upside down between your teeth. After supper Sam and Leah enjoyed a few Dr. Suess stories. I don't know why the last couple of pictures didn't load but I will try again.
