Spent the last afternoon of the long weekend outside at one of the most peaceful places one could live in our surrounding area! Or, at least it was peaceful until we showed up and I'm pretty sure the minute our van was back on the road the peace returned. If Aunt Grace and Uncle Peter had listened carefully they probably would have heard a collective sigh from every bird, duck, goose, frog, snake, bob cat, eagle, salamander etc as our van backed up and left!!
What a place to explore and play!
The awesome log over the creek.
The creek's humble beginning :)

Checking out the paragliders dancing over the mountain top.

The view from the lawn chairs and fire pit. Stunning!!

Next four pictures are credited to Aunt Grace, although they were made much smaller for facebook sharing...
Once the kids had finished playing home free....
and finished being sad over muddy mess ups...
and finished wrestling (my favorite picture!! such a typical, everyday moment)....
They headed back to the creek head. Cody got it in his head to get wet :S

With help from Sam and a clay brick he was more than successful!

Not that he minded.

And yes, the dark line on his boots is where the water was up to for that minute. It was a regular cycle of going in the lake and dumping out his boots.

Very thankful to Aunt Grace for the fantastic company and place to spend a lovely afternoon!!
